Freeze drying technology

What is the key technology used in lyophilization? Freeze drying is based on sublimation. The key technology of lyophilization includes: cooling, vacuum pressure and heating. The lyophilized products are 100% nutural with almost no loss of nutrition, light weight, good color, good shape and good taste. So lyophilization technology is the best technology to achieve the goal.

There are 3 main lyophilization technologies:

Freeze-drying technology 1, using in-situ cooling products, water traps to cool and glaze and heat partitions. This lyophilization technology is mainly used in pharmaceutical lyophilizers, biological product lyophilizers, lyophilizers for high added value products, such as proteins, extracts, etc. The advantage of this lyophilization technology is that the product is always in its original position and does not need to be moved before and after lyophilization, which is beneficial in reducing transfer contamination. Therefore, more pharmaceutical freeze drying machines adopt this technology.

Freeze drying technology 2, Freeze drying technology adopts cold storage refrigeration products, water traps for cooling and freezing and partitions for heating. The advantage of this freeze drying technology is its high efficiency and it is mainly used for mass production of food freeze drying.

Freeze drying technology 3, using the outer wall and inner wall of the circular or square silo to transfer cold energy to the product, while using the freeze drying technology that the inner wall traps water and frost and the resistance chip is heated . The advantage of this technology is low cost, but the disadvantage is low efficiency. A large amount of water vapor cannot be fully captured, causing the product to collapse. At the same time, the vacuum pump enters water vapor, and the vacuum pump oil needs to be replaced frequently. This freeze drying technology is mainly used in home freeze dryers and experimental freeze dryers.
